Question:
Scar tissue after broken ankle
Today was my first day placing my foot on the ground and attempting to walk, however, I explained to my PT 2 weeks ago that I may possibly have problems with scar tissue healing over before I could begin my weight bearing exercise. Well I begin the exercises however I can not bend the foot were the ankle and foot meet due to scare tissue forming between the joints. I had a similar problem when I had a rotator cuff repair 2 years ago. Any suggestions. I am moving the foot towards me and I have been given a few exercise to work on.

hello, there is no quick fix for scar tissue so you need to take it easy if you can bare anything at all. i would suggest low level cycling for CV and do some resistance exercises that does not involve plantarflexion or dorsiflexion of the ankle to an extreme e.g. calf raises.
