Hello there. When u say "risky exercises" you would need to be more specific as that could mean pretty much anything.

Risky could be inappropriate exercises for a person's level of fitness. ie you would not get a 60 year old heart op patient to do HIIT training.

Also it could mean something is frowned upon. i.e. bouncing while stretching (your hamstrings). There are always arguments to say you should not do something, and these are merely suggestions - and yes they will be based on scientific evidence.

As a trainer, we get taught the textbook information based on scientific research. if we stray and a client gets injured then we may be liable for any injuries... so therefore i would always say follow any 'guidelines' to prevent any injuries and enjoy your training longer.
