Question:
Does weight training help in me run a better 400m?
I did weight training for 6mnths without running, benchpresses and dumbbells, then went to running 500m a day and then it accumulated every day until Thursday which was a time trial.
I ran a 50s in a national meet.

the 400 metres is a sprint event so weight training is certain to be a benefit. You need strength, power and stamina to complete a fast 400m.
You need to do 'functional' exercises such as lunges, single dumb bell rows etc...
Get yourself to a track club and they will teach you all you need to know.

yes in a way it helps bcos when u lift weights u need to do 'power'exhauling to summon power oh while u run u also need to swing ur body n the muscile gives power to resist the wind resistance while running

Yes and no. It depends on the way you train (static Vs dynamic / propioceptive) according with your needs (heavy? thin? weak links? lack of technique due to imbalances?) and plan (season stage?). It wont't be the same weight training for conditioning and weight training in the specific stage.
