Question:
Any speed and agility drills for Netball (WD)?
We all know the WD plays against the WA and WA's are always fast and agile, which means that the WD has to be able to keep up in order to defend the opponent.
At 1.70m I am not the tallest of players(sadly)and since I am not going to grow any taller, I just want to be more agile and faster or explosive power like I want to be quick off the mark sothat I don't let my opponent get away from me in the first 3 steps.

It will take a bit of time to help the neurons recruit muscles quicker and easier, but the best would be like ladder-runs, Drop box-T, side-side shuttles etc. More it's an anaerobic principle, plyometric exercises.
You could also do some plyo's in the gym but you'd need professional advice for sport's specific.

Hello there. Pretty much as advised above. The only thing i would advise is if you visit the link
www.uksca.org.uk
this is the site for strength and conditioning coaches, who deal with training athletes. You can search for your nearest by postcode and may be able to get in touch with someone for yourself and your team.
